I have been wanting to include some food-related articles on my blog for a while now. I am so excited to finally type this one and have it be the first food-related article featured on Damsel in a Dress. My overall vision for this blog was for it to be a lifestyle blog, not just a fashion and beauty blog. However, I am completely lost in the kitchen. I don’t know how to even turn on an oven. If it can’t be made in the microwave it’s a no-go for me. So, recently I sat down with Momma Poskochil and asked her for this recipe. This recipe is a 100% no-bake recipe and it’s something I am actually good at making because the only required appliances are a mixer and a fridge. So, if you are as kitchen challenged as I am, or if you enjoy cheesecake, check out this recipe for the best-unbaked cherry cheesecake you will ever have.
- 2 packages of Honey Graham crackers
- 1/3 cup of melted butter
- 1 package of cream cheese
- 1 large container of Cool Whip
- 1/3 cup of powdered sugar
- 1 large can of cherry pie filling
- 9×13 pan
Step 1: Crush the graham crackers and pour them into the pan. Add melted butter to the crushed graham crackers then mix and continue to press the graham crackers into the pan until it forms a crust.
Step 2: Now grab a separate bowl. Combine the powdered sugar, cream cheese, and Cool Whip into one bowl. Mix the combination well with a hand mixer. Be sure to mix until it is smooth and creamy.
Step 3: Pour the cream cheese mixture on top of the graham cracker crust. Be sure to spread evenly over the crust.
Step 4: Pour the cherry pie filling on top of the cream cheese mixture. Spread the cherry pie filling so that it covers the entire pan.
Step 5: Place the finished product in the fridge and let it chill.
Step 6: Enjoy!
I hope you all have enjoyed this week’s article. I certainly enjoyed sharing it with you. If you’re as kitchen challenged as I am I hope this helps you out in your cooking endeavors. Be sure to check back next week for another (mostly) weekly blog post, and comment below what your favorite no-bake recipes are!
